Privacy notice
How we use personal data under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023. Last updated October 2026.
Who we are
Auxillium Legal is the data controller for the personal data it handles. Our address is Gbagada, Lagos, Nigeria. For any privacy question, write to privacy@auxillium.com.ng.
This website
This website does not use cookies, analytics or tracking, and does not load content from third parties. Our hosting provider processes technical data, such as IP addresses, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
What we collect
When you contact us or become a client, we collect what you give us: your name, contact details, information about your matter and, for clients, the information needed to carry out the engagement and meet our legal obligations.
Why we use it
- To reply to enquiries and check for conflicts of interest (legitimate interests)
- To provide services under an engagement (contract)
- To meet professional, regulatory and anti-money laundering obligations, including identity checks (legal obligation)
Sharing
We share personal data only with service providers who process it for us, such as our email and hosting providers, and with others where the law requires it or you ask us to. Some providers may process data outside Nigeria; where they do, we rely on the safeguards the Act permits for cross-border transfers.
Retention
Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement are deleted within 12 months. Client files are kept for as long as our professional and legal obligations require.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its use, to receive it in a portable form, and to withdraw consent where we rely on it. Write to privacy@auxillium.com.ng. You can also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
